11 September 2008

Every September, when fall is in the air, our attentions turn to walking to cure Diabetes. Our daughter, Jennifer was diagnosed a year ago with Type 1 Diabetes. She tests her blood sugar several times a day and uses insulin to keep her numbers in check. This is complicated with the fact that Jennifer is pregnant with a baby boy and due in January 2009. She continues to amaze us, and her doctors with how well she is handling the diabetes. Her A1-C is in a great range and she is doing very well in her pregnancy. The fourth weekend in September, the ADA hosts Step Out & Walk To Fight Diabetes in Salt Lake City. All money raised here stays here. We, as her parents, would like to ask for your help in finding a cure for this disease that affects 20 million Americans, and has 54 million Americans at risk. Would you please consider making a small donation to the American Diabetes Association, in Jennifer's name to be used to further research to find a cure? You can go here to make your donation or give me a check to be turned in at the walk. Every little bit help. No donation is too small. I know some of you have already done so, and Don and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart. With every ones help, we can help to cure this disease. Love, Janet and Don
